The Sentinel
Dark clouds swirl and tumble over a deserted beach. The shifting shoreline tells us how easily the dunes succumb to the sea's onslaught. Even now waves are breaking against the sand dune in the distance, rearranging and reshaping the coastline contours. The beach sentinel, standing at his post, surveys this changing shore. The collapsing fence, brooding sky and even the footprints in the sand, remind us of the impermanence of the world about us.
